About First Collection
For our first collection, we began by exploring the dual nature of how we perceive objects and how quickly these perceptions can shift.
We were interested in the moment an object moves from being seen as threatening, distant, or uncomfortable to something intimate and meaningful through use and contact.
The thistle became the core symbol of this idea.
Once described as a gift of the devil and associated with disease and hardship, it later transformed into a symbol of longevity, purity, and protection, known as the plant of the Virgin Mary. This radical shift in meaning mirrors the fluidity of perception itself.
In the collection, we preserved the thistle’s spiked structure
its darker, defensive side
while reimagining it as something refined when integrated with the body. What appears sharp from afar becomes delicate when worn, creating a quiet balance between strength and elegance.
